Gone without a trace by Mary Torjussen.

GONE WITHOUT A TRACE by Mary Torjussen is a chilling, twisty, compulsive thriller about a woman whose boyfriend has vanished. Fans of I LET YOU GO and THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN will be gripped.

Until you come home to discover that your boyfriend has gone.

His belongings have disappeared.

But that's not possible, is it?
And there is worse still to come.
Because just as you are searching for him
someone is also watching you.

                                                                            ✮

I started this book and thought I’ll just read the first chapter

to see if I like it and that was it I couldn't put it down! I

always wanted to read just a little bit more!

I then had an accident that resulted in me not being able to

use my hands, therefore, I couldn’t read and that was awful! It

was all I could think of mostly, what would be happening in

the story? It drove me round the bend (as they say lol) so as

soon as I was on the mend (4 whole weeks later!) I had to get

back to the book!!

I love how the book introduces ‘the watcher’ little by little, a

kettle turned on, an odd text here and there. I thought this

was a very clever way of doing it.

There is a fair few twists in this book and to be honest I didn’t see 90% of them coming, a few I think most people can guess but the others had me gasp when I read them!

Most chapters tend to finish on a ‘cliffhanger’ and that I’ll say annoyed me but in a good way as it constantly made me want to read more!

I really did enjoy this book I think it is written very well! You can really get into the book and believe what you are reading has or can actually happen. I really hope there is a number 2 :)

I just want to say a quick thank you to Headline for sending me this book to review.

Will she give up on her dreams or will she write them a happy ending? So… this book is a nice short read, something nice and easy to pick up. I read this on holiday and I wanted something that I could get stuck into but something that wasn’t going to take all my time up if I got stuck into it and to be honest this book did just that I actually finished it in 2 nights. For me personally, I would have liked a bit more background on the characters that are in the book so we could relate to them a bit more. I liked how to story is about a love you once had can turn up at any time
