Me and my very good friend A little ray of sunshine decided that we were going to do a read along together with this book, so we set up the date that we were going to start and from there we we’re pretty much hooked!

This book gets right into the story which for me is brilliant!

I love how Troll shows both sides of the story almost like 1 chapter from the dad’s point of view and 1 chapter from the daughter’s point of view as I said I really like how that is done you really get how the characters are feeling and what they are going through you can connect to them with how this book is wrote.

Troll goes into a lot of detail with the story line, like how the dad is doing everything he can to find his daughter even though he was told she had committed suicide, and seeing what he believed was his daughter’s body in the morgue.

I also think this book could also show teenagers the dangers of the internet and how the internet plays a huge part in everyone’s lives but also shows how internet trolls can affect and have a dramatic effect on people’s lives too
.
I really do think this book is very good at showing how helpless and scared someone must feel to have an internet troll commenting on your posts and then commenting on something that only you and someone who saw you in your everyday life would know, it’s very good and making you feel what the character must be feeling at that time.

Troll also shows you how you do not give up on family, how you will do anything for them and if you are a parent what lengths you will go for your children, even if you do put your own health/life on the line.

So as you know if you have read some of my reviews before you know I don’t like to give away anything in the book I like you to have a read for yourself but I will say this book has some good twist and most defiantly has you thinking throughout the book.


I really did enjoy this book, I loved the plot of the story, how it was written and the twists that kept you thinking, so I would certainly recommend this book!

About the Author

D. B. Thorne has worked as a writer for the last 15 years, originally in advertising, then in television and radio comedy.  He has written material for many comedians, including Jimmy Carr, Alan Carr, David Mitchell and Bob Mortimer.  He was a major contributor to the BAFTA-winning Armstrong and Miller Show, and has worked on shows including Facejacker, Harry and Paul and Alan Carr : Chatty Man.  Troll is his fourth novel.
